I’ve been thinking about iteration for pretty much my whole life. Every time I fail I’m reminded of what Daddy would say, “Even when I lose, I win”. He was usually talking about making money in a wrecking yard selling parts off of old wrecked cars or playing position while shooting pool. To him it was more about how you left yourself on the next shot than whether you sank the ball or not.
